I am looking for an upconverting player that will preserve aspect
ratio automatically. I would also like the player to be liberal
in the type of DVDs it will play.
So far I have tried:
Philips: good on aspect, but picky on disks it plays
Insignia: no control on aspect, but it seemed to play anything.
Panasonic:aspect was not automatic and somewhat picky about disks.
LG: no control on aspect and picky on disks.
So far the Philips unit is the best compromise.
Any suggestions or do I have to keep on trying?
