I just bought an LCD television. I hooked up my DVD player through my
tuner using component video and optical audio cables and then
component video cable from the tuner to the television. Everything
worked great for 2 days. Now all DVDs that are played display in
black
and white. Television and VCR displays are still in color. I have the
same problem when I connect directly with the component cable between
the DVD player and television. I have 3 component cables that I have
switched around and still have the same problem. If I switch the DVD
cabling to composite video (I don't have an S-video cable), the
display is in color.
These symptons lead me to believe that the DVD component output is
failing. Is this a common problem? If so can it be fixed? Should I
purchase an S-video cable with hopes that it works or just buy a new
DVD player?
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
