"In the last few minutes, Paramount Pictures has announced that it will drop
support for the Blu-ray Disc format and exclusively support HD DVD."
....I haven't bought either format yet, but I had decided to buy one or the
other shortly (on pc probably) after the excellent specs came out for the
forthcoming Stanley Kubrick hi-def discs.
This kind of tactic above only has me going 'hmmm' and kinda makes me think
I'll hang on another while to see what happens next before deciding which
(and if) to buy.
I'm honestly not at all sure either hi-def format will win out with this
kind of tactic. Nobody wants to risk buying an expensive white elephant.
That means very few people will buy either one (is my guess).
I think I'll wait a while. If both are still around at Christmas I might
make a decision then.
