eMule (eDonkey2000) is most similar to WinMX and the best option for finding
obscure video titles. It's also the slowest.

Usenet is fastest. It will always download at maximum speed but is the most
complicated to use. There is also a limit on how long a particular title can
be stored on a newsserver. BitTorrent lies somewhere between the two in
terms of speed, availability and ease of use. Checkout the guides at
Slyck.com to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different file
sharing apps: http://www.slyck.com/guides.php

There are programs which can make corrupted avi files playable again but
I've never used one as picture quality is all important for me.
