Congratulations! Equipment seems to become cheaper and better at the same
time.

Last weekend has been a real burning battle over here. I had decided to put
a series on 8 DL DVD's, and as I stated, these were 2.4 speed so it took up
about 40 minutes per DVD. Burning completed fine and for the first time I
could see the text switching from layer 1 to layer 2 in Nero.
But... seeing is believing and after burning I started testing
systematically. I had all the DVD's on hard disk in VIDEO_TS folders and all
worked OK including menus.
Unfortunately when I tested the last DVD, I did a very queer discovery: one
episode played WITHOUT sound! So I thought I might have made a faulty DVD,
since the same DVD/episode played WITH sound from harddisk. I decided to
burn a new copy... but testing gave the same strange results!
To make things even more bizarre I later on discovered that it will play
with sound, only in my stand alone harddisk recorder. So, not on the
standalone player, nor on both PC devices.
Tested it today at my fathers place and... it seems to play fine in his
harddisk recorder AND in his DVD player!
Man, this is really confusing! (All other DL DVD's/episodes play OK and WITH
sound in my other players). But, where's the logic???
