Thanks dadiOH,

If I understand you correctly, then I should rip all my tracks from
CDs into wave files and save these as my "master" files.

And only copy the wave files to MP3 format after I'm done with any
editing I may want to do, right?

BTW, I was pleased to see that you've written instructions on how to
convert vinyl recordings to MP3s. I've got a collection of vinyl
going back to when I was a kid in the 50s, and I'd love to be able to
copy some of the tracks that I've not been able to find on the web
into MP3s.

I just downloaded your dadiOHs Dandies and from the looks of the table
of contents it's a treasure trove of exactly the kind of info I need
right now. Many thanks!
