That may have been my bad. I don't think I've ever seen
an audio recorder that had a gen-lock option. As you said
you would record Timecode to an audio machine and then
have the audio playback chase the timecode from the
video source. At least that is the way to it back int the
days of analog. Of course device providing the timecode
would want to be gen-locked to house sync.
