Well...
Like I said, depends what you mean...
I found Saw 3 pretty damn gruesome, better than either of the first two.
Hostel 2 was a bit ... I dunno, disappointing, too slick, too clean.
Texas Chainsaw (The begining) was a good idea but let down by a pat ending
As were The latest releases of The Hills have eyes 1&2.
I thought The Descent was very good. (Not exactly new, but I liked it)
And whereas I wouldn't *exactly* call them horror movies, Nightwatch and its
sequeal Daywatch are wonderful.
Want a film which is...
Chilling... Funny Games.
A Shlock, but good, horror... Dead and Buried
Intelligent... Alien
Really frightening... Triumph of the Will... (Frightening cos its all
real!)
Classic... Psycho (original)
Atmospheric... The Fog (original)
Gross Out... Bad Taste, Braindead... Or go to your local cinema (cough) and
see Black Sheep
Italian "Yellow"... Tenebrea
Effects ridden... Dawn/Day of the dead (originals or remakes)
Humorous... Shaun of the Dead
All night long... Hellraiser series (Which are almost like Star Trek for the
*good,bad,good* releases.)
Surprisingly good... The Butterfly Effect
Or just say "To hell with it, there's nothing new!!!"
and fire in;
The Exorcist, Omen, Friday 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Thing, Dr
Phibes, and Vault of Horror
The top it all off with The Phantom Menace!!!
(No.. no... that's just TOO cruel!!!)
