That could be the problem. When I use the HDMI cable, only Wide and 4:3
are listed. I keep the component cables hooked up so I can use Zoom1 to
expand burned in widescreen programs to fill the screen.
I would suggest you get a program like TMPGEnc DVD Author. It is fairly
easy to use and you can make a nice menu, edit out commercials, place
chapter stops where you want them, and set the 16:9 flag if necessary.
I mainly use DVD+RW on the EZ27, so there are no wasted discs.
And David Z is correct. There are no desktop hi-def recorders.
Whenever you see HD listed, it is referring to the Hard Drive, if it has
one.
