ha! Crackin me up. That was so damn funny.. Man.. I just can't stop
laughing..
It's not mine. It's Panasonic's. I just use it to shoot national
commercials, music videos and features. Of many of the cameras I have used
thus far the HVX yields better green screen, keying and fx shots. And that's
what I care about. In fact, we used it recently for an element which will be
in a major feature film release. (starring Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman).
Also being used widely for Cable channels like the History Channel , etc..
It is the camera of choice for folks here in LA as far as indie features go.
I have no complaints and I don't have to deal with the nasty mess that HDV
is. One look at HDV and I knew it wasn't for me. Yucch! The workflow
nightmares. Sure would not fit in here. In fact no one we work with will
allow HDV source.
I know you like to pay attention to specs and I know you have HDV in your
blood.. But lately cameras only have a shelf life of about 3 years max. So
if you need variable frame rates and other features your choices are
limited. I don't agonize over purchases like that. Buy it. Shoot it. Sell
it.
It's a great camera for us.
