Thanks! The articles clarified a lot of questions that I had. I use
Encore, which should permit me to burn BDMV disks and, apprently, it works
well with the LaCie burner which is both the least expensive burner and also
works as an external drive. This gets around my Sony as BluRay playback
device as I've already got one of my computers connected to my home theater
via HDMI (actually DMI to HDMI). This way, I can play back the disks I burn
in the LaCie until I replace the Sony player with something that can handle
BDMV.
