Buying any single format player now is a big gamble. Chances are, either
the format you chose will "lose", or multi-format players will conquer the
market. While your investment won't be completely worthless, you will
still be looking purchasing an additional player at least.
Maybe you have enough funds to cover such gambles. I'd rather do other
things with my money. In time, the HD video market will work itself out.

Agreed. I'm not about to spend that much on a game, which is why I try to
hit the bargin bins, used game stores, or just rent if the title is that
short.
