It sounds like a trap. The leech understands WinMX well enough
to leave a message like that, so it's either a hired spy, or a
trader hiding files.
As much as I hate to admit it, even though I haven't done it yet,
I might start being trade-mostly myself. I find myself getting
so paranoid I start ignoring people in the queue on the basis of
sheer paranoia alone. I know it's time to shut it down for
awhile when I get like that.
And the sort of people I was complaining about a few weeks ago
don't bother me now because I see that they're as paranoid as I
am, and once we establish at least _some_ trust, we can get files
from each other. (Those are the ones who, when you browse them
and try to download from them, the file turns red because it's
not being openly shared - and they're _probably_ not spies
because they're sharing mostly live concert footage of either
small label jazz artists, or a particular other genre, and
nothing "popular" like Avril Lavigne, or Nelly Furtado, etc.)
If I browse and see a bunch of Disney movies, I ignore and clear.
Same with pop stuff, or anything that sets off even a probably
false alarm bell in my head.
I shut it down last night for computer maintenance. There are
only three more files I'm trying to get, not sure if it's worth
the trouble anymore.
