That's what happened here too. It also had something to do with the
stories though.
I'm not going to say Series 6 wasn't great TV, but after it was over, did
anybody else feel a bit let down?
What is it they say, When you see a sword on the wall in Act 2, somebody
better be swinging it around by Act 4. And we saw so many swords.
I was looking forward to the confrontation with Johnny Sachs, then Phil
Leotardo, finally I thought - well, Butch has got to get it at least.
after that disrepect he showed Tony when Tony visited Phik in hospital....
There'd be one episode that seemed to be all about Tony losing more and
more money at gambling and then the subject seemed to be abandoned. And
this seemed to be a fairly common occurence, flag up something, and then
quietly drop it.
I didn't just want a gore fest, but it seemed like S6 ramped up the
tension with the promise of a big payoff, that finally wasn't delivered.
I sort of liked the final scene, had a bit of Godfather feel to it (with a
concealed weapon in the rest room?) but I would have preferred something
more........ well, just more really.
Or did it just mean, yes, he gets it, but we just couldn't bring ourselves
to show it?
All the best,
