Thanks for the explanation above! I'm currently using a HP w2207, and by
the looks of it that seems to be a TN panel. However, I had to buy that
one in a hurry, since my main CRT 'exploded' and I needed a replacement
the same day.
I've been browsing around a bit, but it seems to be pretty difficult to
find out, from the manufacturer at least, what type of panel they're
using.
What's the best way to find out what type of panel a certain monitor is
using? Or the other way around, is there some site somewhere which lists
all monitors using a certain panel-technology?
If I have to replace my other monitor (currently a 22" Iiyama CRT), I want
to spend a bit more time on finding out what the best replacement is, and
by the sound of it, an IPS panel is the way to go.
So I'd like to find out what 22+" Widescreen monitors are around which use
an IPS panel, and which also have a quick-response time (around 5ms or
lower)...
Regards,
Patrick.
