Use Brasso or Silvo the fluid type metal polish... don't be tempted to
use Duraglit or Silvoglit the wadding stuff.

The secret is to get a nice clean soft duster use some of the stuff,,,
rub, rub and rub in a circular motion all over the entire disk...
eventually the scratches will come out but it's hard work and patience,
don't be tempted to rub hard just enough pressure is all that is
required.

This will work on any Plastic surface... *but beware* some LCD screens
uses a anti glare coating or a anti scratch film, this will be damaged.

To top it off... for glass only, use Chemico it's an engine grinding
paste used on Pistons.... start with the rough then transfer to the
smooth end of the tube, I've got deep marks out of TV screen with this
stuff... it's darned hard work though.

In all cases using a circular motion just in one spot will leave you
concaved which Hubble space telescope will be proud off which we don't
want.

The data is embossed on covering on the top side of the disc under the
top label whose underside acts as a reflecting mirror for the return
modulated laser beam.

Try it on a old CD first so you can be sure to get the knack.
