I have just got a sony playstation 3 and also have a Sony STR-DG710 6.1
Channel Audio Video Receiver which I am trying very had to get to play
together (you would think it would be easy with them both being 2 sony's but
alas no).
Using the instruction manual and the hdmi sound on from both I can get only
pcm 48 stereo sound.
Going back to trusty Optical connection for the sound I can not marry the
sound via the amp to the same (HDMI input output for the pictures) Whichever
i plug my HDMI lead into of my two choices either DVD or VD2 I can then not
assign the optical input from VD1 to play. I am probably missing something
silly and would appreciate any advice suggestions or help thanks.
