Had the price difference between an internal DVD-RW/+RW and an external been
as much as they used to be with CD drives many moons ago, I'd look into the
hassle of faffing about and taking the inside apart, but since a USB2.0 option
would be the easiest way to go, that's what I'd do in this case.
