I work with several Firestore FS-1's.
They are the first series SD only. No internal hard drive.
Small box plugs between a camcorder and an external hard drive (or computer)
Has a few SD capture formats. QT, DV1, DV2, RAWDV, mayb 1 or 2 more.
Works nicely. Files are immediately ready for editing on drive.
If you do not need HD capture, check eBay and used places for the FS1.
Not sold new anymore. Couple hundred bucks I think on eBay.
