Hi all,
I'm new to this group and apologies if I've got this wrong, but I gather
there isn't a FAQ for the group, but I wondered where I might find some
general answers to some basic video questions I have, or if anybody here
might shed some light on them.
I don't mean very technical and in-depth, I just mean the basic concepts.
Things like:
What are the essential differences between the various camera formats?
What's the difference between MPEG 2 and MPEG 4, and relative quality?
What is "full" HD, and what in essence are the various HD formats?
A very basic description of linear and non-linear editing.
Any help with any of those questions very much appreciated. Thanks.
