Like I said, if I need mobility I use DV tapes. It's what people
recommend using anyway as backup even while using the FS, so I fail even
more to see the usefulness of a glorified (and overpriced) external HDD.

Anytime I set up the camera on a tripod, I record to laptop.
I'm begining to think people in this thread just aren't familiar with
Adobe OnLocation. Or maybve they don't use field monitors and/or
vectorscopes and WFM. Maybe that's why my detailed argument seems to go
in one ear and out the other
