$1199 is NOT that much. It equates to what we paid for a good, high end
receiver back in the early eighties.
$1199 is like $450 1980 dollars. Folks were paying a LOT of money for
decent stereo receivers back then.
Now, the receiver is $200 for one that beats the crap out of nearly
anything from back then, and that $200 was a mere $60 back then.
So we pay next to nothing for the receiver now, but the TV has stayed
fairly flat, in adjusted dollar speak.
So STOP FUCKING crying! And jump on the bandwagon already.
