Wikipedia has a nice article about it, and apparently it's not at all
uncommon. It's acceptable on a $17 adapter, to be sure, although I would
have preferred a true 43mm lens instead of a 37mm with adapter ring. But
I'm just glad I found a way to use it and cut my losses.
Still gonna make the seller sweat a bit and report him to ebay, though. :-)
