There are many differences (not just gamma) between different
models. Even professional cameras from the same mfg, but from
different models are frequently difficult to match. IME, using a
consumer and pro camera together, you are lucky to get even the
basic colors to look similar. If you are happy with simply tweaking
the gamma to get a match, then you are doing better than many
of us.
