Piracy isn't their only competitor. I'm already paying too much for
cable TV, and suddenly the PVR makes cable a big competitor to renting.
You can watch whenever you want and have a big selection of movies
ready to go, without having to watch TV ads. And flame away, but I
prefer to have graphic images and language trimmed out.
Between the inconvenience of going to the rental place twice and paying
late fees most of the time, I just don't like to rent.
