Binary newsgroups are where you go to download binaries instead of messages.
This newsgroup you read posts they are in ASCI. But a binary newgroup you
do not read the messages just the subject. Then you combine the associated
posts into a file we call a binary.
For example these posts are combined into a rar file which you can then
WinRAR to unpack it's contenets. You must have a newsreader which can
combine the messages from the posts into a full file. The resulting file is
called a binary.
