I've just taken my old Toshiba SD500E out of the attic and reinstated
it as my main DVD player - but I can't for the life of me remember how
to change the region!

I originally bought it from Techtronics back in 2001 and I think the
hardware mod was their own proprietary one. They supplied region
change instructions on a separate sheet of A4, which has got itself
detached from the instruction manual and God knows where it is now (I
may even have thrown it out, under the impression I'd never forget
something I used to do daily).

If I remember rightly, it was a sequence of around four buttons on the
remote, followed by reinserting the relevant disc, but nothing I've
tried seems to work.

Any suggestions gratefully received - I'm bored with watching non-reg 2
DVDs on my laptop!
