Well, the search has been going on for years and still continues.
I'm currently using a Marantz RC1400. It's not perfect, but the best
(for my taste) I've yet found. I prefer to be able to work by touch,
since I'm in the habit of taking off my specs when listening to music,
and the URC controls the sound system as well as video. I've therefore
never fancied the 'touch screen' variety (exemplified by the Philips
Pronto series and Marantz RC 3200), although they're undoubtedly very
good. The Kameleon is good, but got too close to that. If I'd
discovered the RC1400 sooner, I'd never have bought the Harmony or the
Kameleon. Neither of them saw more than a week or two of use before I
reverted to the RC1200. That was in use for (I think) about three
years.
