You must get the numbers 1 to 9 in each horizontal line, each vertical
line, and in each nine square box.
To do this you must not have any numbers repeated (and listing 1-9 in
nine spaces without any repeats should give you a bit of guidance)
however it's not always easy, espeically when you first start as you
just rip up and rip up the paper.
You might start off with something like this that is counted as mild:

Once you've got the hang of it you'll be fine. It's not maths at all,
they could use letters or symbols instead of the number 1-9 and
there's no adding up needed.
