It could be you cache settings are buggered. You can check by going
to Tools->Internet Options->General (tab)->Temporary
Internet files (on General Tab)->Settings (in Temporary
Internet files section). Your cache settings will also
affect history. You probably want to select automatically
unless there is a a reason no to ;-)
