That was the case a while ago, but market pressures have changed the
way manufacturers deal with disposing of bad lots, caused largely
because there are so many new plants opening.
To the best of my knowledge, Taiyo Yuden has not caved in to those
pressures. All the rest have, including such venerable names as
Verbatim Mitsubishi. That was a real disappointment because it was
number two on the list of high quality media. Now there's only one.
