The 2hr SP recording time is nominal, as the bit-rate used will vary
depending on what you're recording. There have been time with my
Panasonic HDD/DVD-R machine that a DVD-R which should only have 25
minutes spare on it can take a direct transfer of a 30 minute
recording, if the actually file/s size fits.
