I think that's something to do with starting and stopping a timed
recording in response to a signal from a suitably equipped receiver that
can indicate the start and end of the programme. Presumably that would
have to be a Panasonic receiver, and maybe, just maybe, the manual for
the receiver might tell a little more about it. Whatever it is, it's
nothing to do with loop-through, a function which this series of
recorders doesn't seem to have. Agreed the manual is not helpful to say
the least, but luckily the equipment is constructed, like most modern
domestic electronics, to make it safe to adopt the 5 year old child's
learning technique of simply trying all the buttons to see what they do
and ignoring any that don't do anything useful. Good luck.
