If you talk to Greg or someone there they should be able to point you
to sites on producing indie horror films.
As for miniDV it should do you fine for starters. Of course if your
going to local university you might be able to avail yourself of the
production equipment at the school's video production equipment.(most
colleges have a video access center where they offer courses in basic
video production.)
