There are apparently ways of recording two independent
Firewire sources independently. But they are more like
laboratory curiosities and not too user-friendly.

Dunno know of any devices or methods to operate multiple
Lan-C cameras. I believe you are correct that Lan-C was
intended for only 1:1 point-to-point use.

I would do it with a video switcher which would allow
you to "super" the game clock into a corner of the main
video. This can be done with devices like the Panasonic
WJ-AVE5, etc.

If you look at the equipment specifications for the big
location video trucks that cover NFL, NBA, etc. you
will see that they carry a couple of low-end cameras
(Sony DXC-3000) just to shoot the game clock on the
scoreboard.
