Generally, yes. The only real issue is that it may be a bit darker in
low light... but the sample images I've seen from the camera don't seem
too bad.

Either buy an adaptor or get the 'pro' version with XLR inputs.

Not really. It's more CPU-intensive than DV, but not a big deal unless
you want a lot of fancy realtime effects with multiple video streams
(e.g. multiple picture-in-picture effects would almost certainly have
to be rendered rather than played realtime).
