Your best bet would probably be one of the rechargeable 12 volt
spotlights along the lines of this:

If you will have an assistant you can get one of the bigger ones that
can put out a few million candlewatts of light (I've got one that I
picked up at costco that I used at night out in the desert at the
Burning Man festival in Nevada....the thing lit up the night like you
wouldn't believe..decent color too).
Anyway, most of these also come with long cords and 12v plugs to plug
into your car lighter without the need of an inverter.
If you get one, get it early because some of then need a bit of time
to charge up.
