Got one of these HDD camcorders today and it's completely dead. Tried
all the troubleshooting tips in the manual and it's still completely
dead. The cam won't switch on and the red charging light just keeps
flashing but does not appear to be charging the battery.
I mention this because Everio GZ-MG50 is a fairly new product and it
might be that some of these units are faulty. So maybe best to get
your mail order dealer to check the unit you intend to buy before
parting with any cash. Could save the hassle of sending a duff unit
back.
