Just wondering if anybody has assessed the audio on the Sony HVR-A1U. I
know about the problems with the VX-2000 pre-amps. How do the pre-amps
on the HVR-A1U compare? Should a serious independent documentarist or
film-maker consider using the camera audio for production sound? Thanks.
Second question while I'm on the subject: I know that the video is
compressed to tape, which is bad. My question is, is the compressed HD
video as handled by, say, Premiere Pro 1.5, and re-rendered out to HD
(or DV) better or worse than uncompressed DV video? Thanks again.
