I had a Pyxis E for a few years. It has 4 inputs, but
it is limited, as are most of that kind of switcher.
it's more like 1A-1B, 2A-2B. You can switch or do
an effect between 1A or 1B, to 2A or 2B, but not
from 1A to 1B or 2A to 2B. That is to say, if you
need to go from 1A to 1B, you would have to switch
to 2A or 2B, then change 1 A to 1B, and switch back
to one B. I think some of the other low level switchers
were that way as well.
It's hard to think of the Pyxis as much of a switcher.
I gave mine to the local cable company so they could
do 2 camera town meeting type stuff with it.
Unfortunately they left it on the shelf for a long time,
and when they did plug it in it smoked, literally.
