You can dig yourself into a hole if you are not careful, but remember that
the most important thing is to eyeball-match transitions. It might (or might
not) be helpful to batch-correct one or the other camera as a starting
point, but the important thing is to make the shot transitions as seamless
as possible, so they should be at least tweaked individually.

The hole gets dug when you start progressively increasing some value, like
color saturation, and after a little while you go way overboard and have to
back up and redo a number of previous shots, so it is good to check earlier
in the video every couple of corrections to make sure that your values are
not increasing or decreasing radically, although the only thing that matters
in the end is how closely you match the transitions.
