Correct. I'm not sure why, but when I wrote what I did, I purposely
avoided directly referencing any company/product names such as Apple's
AIC codec or CineForm's CFHD codec.
As far as proxy formats are concerned, some folks use ordinary DV25 as
a proxy format when editing HDV and then replace the DV files with HDV
files prior to rendering the final output of their editing. This makes
for a much more pleasant editing experience when working on an
under-powered system.
