If I can just cut across this tedious "nyaah, nyaah" exchange and make
a tongue-in-cheek observation, I've just spent 2 days directing an edit
at the studios of one of our regional broadcasters. The premises are
new, with a state-of-the-art networked editing scheme from Avid. It
must have cost squillions!
And apparently it falls over just as regularly as LE6.1! Little
things, like from time to time being unable to do a freeze frame of
longer than 1 second, or realising that a 'sluggishness' is creeping
into the workflow that best dictates regular saves until a re-boot can
be done (not always possible when a news broadcast is coming up in a
couple of minutes).
The operator was quite sanguine about it -- "It's a computer, what more
can you say?!"
