Hang on we keep getting this "unlocked audio" the root of all ills. 
Unlocked DV audio only means the audio sample is allowed to slide around by  
a defined window and this window is very small (Less than a frame I think)  
so there can be no cumlative problem. 
I would suspect it's more likely a capture problem with premiere as is  
confimred by the fact that the file can be played back in other software  
without error. 
Smaller chunks may help but that's just a work around not a cure.
