The Video and Audio are recorded on the tape in sync.
Playback is in sync.
Captured DV stream played in other players on the same computer playback in
sync.
But played in Premier sync slips?
Can't see how the Firewire could drift audio and video as they come off tape
together and are packaeged and sent down the firewire.
For sync to slip the audio would have to be delayed or advanced over time.
I'd suspect the editing package which I presume is splitting the audio and
video so they can be manipluated and for some reason at this point it is
loosing the sync relationship.
Possibly the camera is recording the DV stream with slightly off sample
audio and this only shows up when the audio is seperated forom the video and
the audo sample is then clocked at the expected rate rather than the actual
rate.
This would need some testing to prove.
