Using the term 'DVD' by itself, means just that: a DVD. Can be a blank
one, or a prerecorded movie. Still just means 'DVD'. It's always meant
that.
I mean, saying 'DVD disc' would be redundant, since DVD *means* digital
video DISC. So it'd be like saying digital video disc disc. :)
(this is also why nobody should ever use the phrase "ATM machine" - the
M already stands for machine)
