Really?? Wow...those numbers are absolutely terrible. After it looked
like Serenity was going to flop here, I remember the talk turned to "But
just wait - it'll make a ton of money overseas!!" Boy, did that ever not
happen.

I'm afraid that desperation is going to continue. No exec in his right
mind would greenlight a sequel to a movie that did this poorly. The best
we can hope for is that Whedon will find a way to use his pull for a TV
movie, but even that seems very unlikely. I can't see anyone believing
that *this* time, the chance will pay off - it's already had two failed
chances at success. The only place it's made money is in DVD sales.
