I've been converting all my VHS movies to DVD with no problems until I
tried The Last Of The Mohicans. I know there will be doubters so
enjoy your skepticism.

Seven seconds into the copy my Sony RDR-GX315 refused to continue
copying the movie because of what I assume is an analog signal
protection scheme.

I suppose the only 'easy' way to do this would be to capture through
the PC since I suspect the Sony 315 can not be overridden.

Or, is there another cheap and simple alternative?
