Every disk ever given to me that has had a label on it(a dozen or so) has
caused problems, so your mileage may vary. All but one were fine after
carefully removing the labels and cleaning the adhesive surface off. Better
to be safe than sorry. You can always buy printable media and a cd/dvd
capable printer, or use a proper permanent marker like those available from
Sharpie...
