You are going to have to spend the time learning MF4 on your own.
That's because it has to be the poorest laid out application ever in
the history of software. Not even Microsoft could botch a layout as
badly as MF4. But once you decipher its arcane layout, you can
discover a modicum of intelligence hidden deeply behind the confusion.
But you must play with it to discover this.
I spent literally day and night for a couple weeks to figure out all
the features hidden deep in the bowels of this beast. That's at least
100 man hours of my time essentially wasted because MF4 is so poorly
laid out. And the manual is so full of bugs and misnomers that it is
better not to refer to it because it will always send you in the wrong
direction.
OK< so here's how to save lots of time rendering large projects, which
for MF4 is anything lasting more than 1 minute.
Open MF4 and change the working directory to the one where you want to
keep the project files for this clip. Do not use the same place for
all your projects or else you will lose track of what you are doing.
Create new directories for each new project. Then make a directory
called "Final" where you will put all the final clips together.
Change the project directory from Preferences, which is at the top of
a dropdown menu you access on the Settings and Options button at the
bottom left of the first page. You can also access it with ALT+G.
Now check "New Project DVD" and move to the next page. The Import
button is the "Add Media: Add Video Files" (the film strip icon at the
top left). Import the MPG file from VideoReDo (see below). Edit the
content and then export it. The button for Export is the third one
down on the far left side of the bottom pane. It is below the large
"X".
Now close and re-open MF4. Check "New Project DVD" and move to the
next page. This time you are going to import the file you just
exported, so be sure you named it so you can tell it apart. I use the
convention of naming the export file "NameExport.mpg", where "Name" is
the one chosen for the name of the clip.
Be sure to uncheck "Motion" in the Menu page because it will save time
rendering.
Now go to the end where you select your output (I use VIDEO_TS files)
and "Burn". You will discover that because the file was exported after
being rendered, it does not need to be rendered again. That means you
can load up a project with lots of separately exported clips and it
won't take a year to do the final render.

You do not need to make a change, Just import, add it to the
collection and save it. However it is likely you will want to trim it
front and back to keep only the important content.
